Additional info and directions, as seen in invitation

Country Wedding Tips and Advisory: This is a country wedding. The entire event will take place outdoors on grass and under tents, with opportunities for walking down to a river via stone steps and on grassy paths into the woods. You will probably want to leave the 4" heels at home! Please make sure that younger children have hats (adults might want them too) and sunscreen, as well as swimwear (they will be playing at the river) and a change of clothes. There will be tick and mosquito repellent on hand.

Gifts: We are pleased to accept any gifts, but will be registering for our honeymoon and a sofa online (here). There will also be an opportunity for the creatively inclined to purchase and create a square in a quilt made by a local artist (who also happens to be our landlady). Crispina will send all the necessary materials (including a fabric pen to write a personalized message) to the interested parties. See blog for more information.

Directions: The ceremony and reception will be taking place at Rachel’s parents’ home:

Rosemarie and David Siegel
196 Route 71 (Egremont Plain Road)
North Egremont, MA 01252
Tel: (413) 528-1120

From the East: Take Mass Pike (I-90) to Exit 2 - Lee. Follow asterisked information below.

Hartford Area including Airport at Windsor Locks: Take I-91 North to the interchange with the Mass Pike (I-90). Take Mass Pike toward Albany and points west. Continue on Pike to Exit 2 - Lee. Follow asterisked info below.

*From Lee (Exit 2) on Mass Pike: After toll keep to the left. Turn onto Route 102 going West. Continue into town of Stockbridge – The Red Lion Inn will be on your left. Turn left onto Route 7 South. Continue on Route 7 into Gt. Barrington Center. In Gt. Barrington keep to the right. As you are heading out of town on Main St. turn right onto Route 23. Take that a few miles to Route 71 - a slight right turn. You will shortly come to a small airport. If you hit your odometer at the parking lot, you will arrive at the driveway in 1.7 miles. From the turn onto 71, it is about 2 1/2 miles to No. 196 Route 71. There will be flags and people to direct you.

From New York City and other points South: Leave city on Major Deegan Expressway, which becomes NY Thruway (I-87). On I-87 turn right onto Saw Mill River Parkway going North. Stay on until Exit 42, which is Route 684. Take 684 North until it ends and becomes Route 22. Stay on Route 22 North all the way to Hillsdale, NY where Route 22 intersects Route 23. Make a right turn onto Route 23 East. Go about 5 - 6 miles into South Egremont. (Beware police, out of town plates—this is a speed trap!) On the other side of South Egremont, there is a sign just ahead saying "To Route 71.” Take this road, called Creamery Road, which ends at Route 71 (1.6 miles). Merge into 71, a slight left. No. 196 is less than a mile on the right.

From West (including Albany area):Get on I-90 going East. It goes through a toll station (entry B-1), at which point I-90 is the Berkshire Spur of the New York Thruway. Take it east to Exit B-2, which is Route 22. Go south on Route 22 about 8 miles to where Route 71 comes in on the left. Turn left onto Route 71. 5.8 miles further is 196 Route 71.

From North: Find a knowledgeable eskimo with some sled dogs, or call (413) 528-1120. (Or, use Google Maps.)
